At Three Rivers First UMC, ministry goes beyond Sunday morning. Our church is a place where ordinary people find extraordinary hope, and we’re committed to making a lasting difference in the lives of those around us. Through our Community Impact ministry, we aim to reflect Christ's love in everything we do, from providing meals and essentials to creating a safe and welcoming space.
Every Sunday from noon to 2 PM, we host a free community meal in our fellowship hall. This meal is open to everyone—no questions asked. Whether you’re a member, a visitor, or simply someone in need of a warm meal and good company, you’ll find a place at our table.
Beyond our Sunday services and meals, Three Rivers First UMC is dedicated to meeting the needs of our community throughout the week. From providing food distribution on Mondays and Fridays for those facing food insecurity to offering a warming and cooling center during extreme weather, we are here to serve. Many in our community also join us as volunteers, including individuals fulfilling probation service hours, creating an environment of mutual support and growth.
Three Rivers First UMC will be open the following times each week if you need a place to warm up. We will have coffee and hot chocolate available also. Monday and Friday 10:00am-2:00pm Tuesday 11:30am-3:00pm Sunday 10:00am-3:00pm When weather is very bad, we will post on the Community Impact Facebook page other times we will open as a warming center.
We are pleased to partner with community organizations, including TRAM (Three Rivers Area Mentoring). We also support our local women's domestic abuse shelter. Each month, we provide care kits for the women and children in the shelter.
Through these partnerships, Three Rivers First UMC, hopes to make a positive impact on our community.
